ETAS AGM
Workshop on Sunday morning:
Drama in education: Learning language through drama (speaking and writing in role)
Tutor: Nicole Küpfer, lic. phil. I, PG Cert. drama in education (UCE Birmingham)
Drama strategies applied to language teaching help students explore a text, novel or topic through physical activity. By creating natural communicative situations, newly-acquired linguistic skills can be applied in a stress-free environment. Through their creative input, the students take over responsibility for their own and the groups learning process.
In our workshop, I will make you familiar with a project that I carried out for my Masters programme. It focuses on enhancing students speaking and writing skills. The linguistic material is taken from Headway New Intermediate unit 8, conditionals.
